Desperate Search For Pregnant Girl, 15, Who Ran Away From Home Without Her Antibiotics Or Cell Phone

Police in Oklahoma are desperately searching for a seven-months pregnant 15-year-old girl who ran away from home without taking her antibiotics or her cell phone. Angellica Collins, who was a cheerleader at her high school before she became pregnant, sneaked out of her Moore, Oklahoma, home early Friday, likely because her her mother planned to move her 1,000 miles away to Ohio to have her child. In online postings on the pregnancy forum Baby Gaga in March and April, Angellica said her mother wanted to separate her from her 16-year-old boyfriend, who is the child’s father, because she didn’t approve of him.

Her mother, Laura Collins, told the Oklahoman newspaper the move might have had something to do with Angellica’s disappearance. However, she is concerned for her daughter’s safety because she doesn’t have the antibiotics that her doctor prescribed for her.

“She didn’t take anything with her,” Ms. Collins told the Oklahoman. “We’ve exhausted everything that we know of. We’ve checked her Facebook and emails and turned everything over to the police.” She admitted that her daughter’s disappearance likely had something to do with the family’s plans to move out of state.

Angellica made a post on Baby Gaga in March titled “Definitely Scared… 15 and pregnant,” in which she asks for help becoming independent of her mother so she doesn’t have to leave her boyfriend. She said she got pregnant after seeing her boyfriend for about a month and a half.

“My mom hates my boyfriend and doesn’t think he’s acceptable. He’s no longer allowed to see me and my mom says I’m moving to get away from him and have the kid in another state,” she wrote.
Angellica also described having a troubled home life and said she wanted to become emancipated from her mother — legally declared an independent adult.
